# Tokenomics

Serving as the native currency of the Triton Sniper project, $TRITON is our proprietary Ethereum-based cryptocurrency. This chapter and the below paragraphs detail the tokenomics of this token. Any questions regarding these tokenomics, or how we govern the safety our investors? Please reach out to the team through our official email: <help@tritonsniper.io>\
\
The taxes related to the $TRITON token are set at 5% and are meant to feed development & marketing at first. At one point in our project, we expect the product to be self-sufficient - i.e. all maintenance, development and marketing work can be financed through transaction fees on the platform. Once we reach this level, all taxes will be used to fund buybacks of the $TRITON token.\

As mentioned, buy and sell taxes are used for development and marketing. Examples of development costs are Bitquery and other server costs and team salaries, while marketing costs include costs for Youtubers, CT Influencers, Banners/Ads and any other marketing costs. As specified above, once our platform becomes self-sufficient, all taxes will be used for buybacks of $TRITON.\
